Pigtails is the sixth chapter of Wayside School is Falling Down.
Plot[]
Paul struggles with his desire to pull Leslie's pigtails. When she announces that she’s getting her hair trimmed soon and promises to save him some split ends, Paul gets excited enough to knock himself out the window. Finding no other means to reel him back in, Leslie extends Paul her pigtails to save his life, and Paul vows to return the favor. Then he laughs and comments that this time, her pigtails pulled him.

- Paul eventually does save Leslie in "The Mean Mrs. Jewls."
- However, he does pull her pigtails again in "A Story with a Disappointing Ending," "Breathe," "Blame It on the Cloud," and "Kachooga Boop."
- This is the second time a character has fallen out the thirtieth story window, the first time being in "Sharie."
