"Class Cow" is the second half of the first episode of the first season of Wayside.

Synopsis[]
While Mrs. Jewls is on a faculty retreat, a cow wonders into the class. The students believe it to be their substitute teacher and end up learning more from the cow.
Plot[]
The episode opens with Todd walking into the school and notices a large number of haystacks, a cow then bumps into him at the entrance, prompting him to continue moving forward.
After numerous run-ins with various bovine scenerios on the way to class, he enters the classroom and notices Mrs. Jewls is missing. He is then informed by Dana that all the teachers are in a faculty retreat to discuss important school matters, while in reality all of the school staff are in Mr. Kidswatter's office having a large party.
A cow then wanders into the classroom, and all of the students except Todd believe the cow to be their substitute teacher. The students take an immense liking to Mrs. Bellamy, as the cow's name is later revealed to be, while Todd attempts to get his classmates to recognize the ridiculousness of the situation.
Meanwhile, concerned with the situation of her substitute teacher scheduling, Mrs. Jewls begins to worry about her students. She then escapes from the faculty retreat and begins to climb her way to her classroom by scaling up the outside of the school.
As Mrs. Bellamy continues to "teach" the class, Todd begins to worry if his attitude towards the situation makes him a "Fun Pooper" and begins to appreciate Mrs. Bellamy's "alternative teaching", as he believes her methods are boosting classroom morale and increasing student confidence.
As Mrs. Bellamy leaves the classroom, Mrs. Jewls enters the room and explains that Mr. Kidswatter forgot to hire a substitute teacher for her class. When told about Mrs. Bellamy, she sends Todd home on the kindergarten bus for insulting a substitute teacher by calling her "a cow."
As things in the classroom start to go back to normal, it is revealed that the rest of the school staff have also escaped the faculty retreat, leaving Mr. Kidswatter on his own where he discusses a staff position to another cow that has wandered into his office.

Trivia[]
- Mrs. Jewls refers to the students as "monkeys" a couple times in this episode, once when talking to Mr. Kidswatter during the faculty retreat, and once when being warned by the nomads. This is a reference to "Mrs. Jewls".
